The Premier League, Tips, Odds and Football News
The Premier League is an English professional league for association football clubs. It is at the top of the English football league system, and it is the country’s primary football competition. Contested by 20 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with The Football League.
The Premier League, is both a highly respected and highly sought after league, that strives to “develop playing talent that will provide for international success” with the hopes of developing players that will one day become World Champions. This highly competive area of premiership football is constantly being watching by partakers of football betting (or soccer betting as the Americans call it), because the stakes are so high and the matches so unpredictable they lead to an intense 90 minutes. Part of this is due to the fact that it is not yet an international team, but also because the teams are trained and conditioned on a more independent level, so development of skill and physical levels may vary drastically between seasons.
The teams are typically a little younger as far as statistics go, which generally means a more aggressive game (despite stern warnings from the coaches) and more penalties and yellow cards. This makes for poor game performance but the audience loves it! Now imagine these lower-age and more aggressive premiership football teams and then imagine twenty of them! The funny thing though is that, like national teams found in international tournaments, the teams all have their own rivalries, and drastically different scoring potentials. For example, the Chelsea team, during the 2009/2010 game season, won 33 points during their first 13 games; Portsmouth, on the other hand, ended their 13th game with only 7 points. Obviously, the management is independent of a universal training regime, and individual player skill still determines the outcome of the games (as well as where bets will be placed in football betting).
A good example of this concept is the Tottenham team, where the top scorer of the entire premier league (Jermain Defoe) scored 11 goals, but the next best scorer on that team was ranked 30th with only 4 goals. Similarly, the 2nd best scorer of the season (one Fernando Torres) scored 10 goals, but Liverpool (the team he plays for) was only in position 7 among all 20 teams in the premiership football grid.
So all in all, while individual players do have a huge impact on which teams win, it is quite obvious that not even this fact is enough to stabilise the rankings. Standings have been known to shift drastically within the course of a few games; going for the best odds is not always the best choice, as any American soccer betting participant would tell you. Overall though, the entire premier league is an action-packed arena of competition and clash that any watcher will enjoy long after the last play is made.
